The lost grandma

One day there was an old lady and she went for a stroll with her granddaughters to the garden.



When they were going for a stroll the grandma lost her glasses and she took a wrong turn. The old lady was meant to go to the left but she went to the right instead. Then the granddaughters went to the right when grandma went to the left. The grandma got scared because it was getting dark. The granddaughters got worried about their grandma.



The granddaughter's called the police and the police got their touche’s and they were looking for the grandma. The police found the grandma and the grandma was really happy to be found. The grandma said “i got lost because i lost my glasses”. Then the granddaughter said “ here are your glasses”. Then they lived happily ever after.

Trip to pak n save

Today room 7 and room 9 went to pak n save. When we went to pak n save we meet a lady and her name is tina and tina works at the heart foundation. Tina told us that we had to watch out for other people because my teacher wanted an email that we were good and we were respecting their property.

While we were at pak n save we had to read labels of the food and products. When we were reading the labels on the food boxes we had to write down on our worksheet how much energy,fat,sugar,dietary fibre and how much sodium it has (salt). My group had to do muesli bars first and then we went to the snacks after we did the snacks we went to the fruit and vegetables place. When we were by the vegetables and fruit place While we were at pak n save we had to read labels of the food and products. the day at tip top

Day at tip top


Today was a bright lovely day and room 7, room 8,room 6 and room 5 went to tip top. There were parents to help the teachers take care of 3 classes. The parents had groups to take with them. My dad lee came to the tip top.


When we got there we saw the park then when we got off the bus we went to go on the park. Everyone wanted to go on the blue slide and there were mostly everyone on the top to go on the slide. When it was my turn we got stuck because the people that went before me got stuck in the front then everyone had to stop because we were stuck and the people still at the top were waiting until we got out of the slide then lydia went on the slide next.

The teachers called us off the park so that they could say which people are going first to go and look in the factory and the first people to go was room 8 and a little bit of room 5. When everyone had gone there was a short line at the slide. Me, grace,amon,lydia,edith and auckland we all played with the cards and we played speed then we played last card. After we played for a little bit we got called to go in our line so that we can get ready to go. My dad was in my group and he was helping to watch us. When we went we had to wait till room 8 and room 5 had to come back so that we could go and look at the factory and eat ice cream.



When we got in we all saw people working at the factory and there was a car that they use to use in the old days. The lady that was showing us around she turned on the car that they used in the old days and it looked funny and cool. When we went to look at the other things we pressed these buttons then we went to go and see what the other people were doing and there were lots of people doing the ice cream. When the ice cream is not like how it's meant to be but when they're not like how it's not meant to be then the people that work there put the ice cream into a big bowl and then the give it to an animal to eat it. At the end we ate ice cream and we could eat any kind we want and while we were eating our ice cream we were watching how they came up with the name tip top. Before we went to the end we smelt these tubes and we had to guess what flavour it was. One lady showed us all a giant chocolate bar.



It was fun i can't wait till the next trip.

should prisons exist

Should prisons exist


I think that prisons should exist because the prisoners will escape and the cop’s wouldn’t know. When the police find a killer and the police don't have prisons then the prisoners will kill the cops that are watching them then they will escape and keep on killing people.


When someone does bad stuff like a robbery then they will go to jail and if we don't have a jail then the robber will still be in the community and they will keep doing bad things and no one will do anything about it.


If we don't have a prison then people won't have jobs and they will not have lots of money and they will be poor and they will not have enough money to buy more clothes and if they have a new born baby then they won't have money to buy their baby's cloths.


When you are in prison then you can learn how to be a better person and you will learn lots and if you are good you will be treated right instead of still being a robber when you get out of jail if someone from his/she family that will come to get him/her.



In conclusion these are my reasons why prisons should exist.

WALT read temperature

 Today room 7 was learning about temperature, we were learning of how to read temperatures.Miss Ashley out 4 pictures at each table with the thermometer and we all had to go to each table and we had to guess what the temperature was, then we all had to come to the mat and we had to tell Miss Ashley the temperature, the temperature for the first picture was 8.5 * C,the temperature for the second picture was 11.5 * C, the temperature for the third picture was  22.5 * C and the temperature for the last picture was 28.5 * C.C stands for calcium and f stands for faren height.

Should every job be paid the same?


  • I think that we should not be paid the same because other job do other stuff and harder too, so they should get paid a lot not just 50 dollar or 100
  • I think that you should be paid the same so that it can fair for you and the other people that work with you.
  • I think we should be paid the same because people don’t need to be giving a lot of money way to their worker but they should get paid about 300 a week not 1,000  but if they do good they should get 1,000
  • When you get paid the same then you will get the same amount of money everyday.
  • People should get more people they work a lot to get the money so it should be fair to paid them 1,000 or more.
  • When you don’t get paid the same then the other people get more money than you and you get a little bit of money.
  • I think we should not get paid the same because there is different thing people do to get there money.

I feel that it is a parents responsibility to decide if their child can have a phone or not, that responsibility should not fall to the school or the teacher.

Some people might argue that having phones in school could lead to more cyberbullying, on the other hand, at TPS we do Cybersmart which teaches us how to be responsible on the internet.

Kiwi can

today room 7 went to kiwi can after we finished doing the samoan alphabet and the sign language to the alphabet we went to kiwi can then miss lilly and mister malu asked us what the topic is and the topic is responsibility. The theme is integrity and integrity means doing the right thing even when nobody's looking. when we finished talking we were playing a game called protect your partner how to play it is you have to find a buddy then one person has to be head and the head has to make sure that the other team doesn't get your partner. My partner was mister malu because there was no one else for me to go with. the next game we played was like protect your partner but you have no partner and one person has to be it and they have to try and get people then the person that is out has to chain to the person that is in and the last person standing wins. After the games we were talking about what is responsibility and what it means to us. Then when it was time to finish we went to the library to change our books. But when while the rest went to the library i went to miss ashley to do my reading test.

Sign language

Today at school a lady from New zealand sign language. her name is rachel. rachel could talk but she was deaf and she did not hear us so she did not talk. when she came to room 7 she introduced herself then she gave us books with the alphabet and how to greet people. she tout us how to do the colours in sign language and how to do numbers in sign language.

Food Pyramid

What is a food pyramid:
A food pyramid is a pyramid filled with the types of food you should eat kind of eat and not eat, room 7 got separated into three groups and in the three groups each group made a food pyramid.In the three groups we were all given a newspaper each, each group had three people to cut out different types of food from the newspaper and the rest of the group were the ones that had to glue on the types of foods. we got some news paper or something and we cut out the good foods that we should eat most and food that we should eat sometimes and foods that we should eat a little bit.
